HUNT

Hunt, burst onto the scene in late August of 2014, with her stunning debut release 'Hollow' - A haunting 3 track EP which portrays a unique marriage of empowering lyrics, close harmonies, moody organs and elevating drum sounds. It channels the ethereal quirk of Kate Bush in a lush, modern-day electronic aesthetic.

Since, Hunt has delivered some stellar live performances including guest spots with local electronic afficionados Flamingo and The Kite String Tangle on their recent sold out tour. She has also landed support spots for George Maple and Flamingo. Her attention is now heavily directed at building on her already dynamic live show, along with developing new production skills and crafting new material for her next release.

ABOUT HOLLOW

The versatile three-song EP enlists the help of renowned Australian hip-hop producer Chuck Daly (Allday, Savo) and includes the single “Wings of Stone” a marriage of empowering lyrics, with close harmonies, moody organs and elevating drum sounds, along with “Down and Dry” and “Scared of the Sky”.

On the making of the intricate release, Madeleine explains:

“It was important that all elements of the EP connected with the music. For example: the artwork, a deer painted by Olympia Antoniadis, symbolizes vigilance, regeneration, and uncovering the truth of the world."

"This is what Hollow is about and this is what I, as an artist, represent.” She says.

Producer Chuck Daly was awestruck when working with the talented songstress.

“Madeleine had so many gorgeous demos, just piano and vocals, that were so unique already,” he recalls.

“After the hard task of picking a few favourites to work on, it was only a few days before we’d created something we were both really excited to share”.

The pair were introduced by Melbourne-based rapper Allday, who suggested the Chuck to Madeleine after she responded to a callout for backing vocalists.

The recommendation was the perfect fit for the lush yet brooding style of her songwriting.

"I had heard his dark production style on Triple J, and thought we could make something really fresh together” she says of Chuck.
